Harry, Harry, Give us a Wave !

Harry Ferguson returns for MK Lightning MILTON KEYNES, 31 MAY 2019: Fresh off the back of a strong set of Elite League performances last year, we are delighted that Harry Ferguson has signed for MK Lightning for our 2019/20 NIHL campaign. He brings with him over 200 games of experience across a number of campaigns, including 98 top level Elite League appearances. Speaking about his signing, MK Lightning Head Coach Lewis Clifford said “I am really happy to bring Harry back to MKL, having started last season at Peterborough and scoring well, he made the move over here and every time I met him he was a pleasure to deal with”. Super Tim Joins Nottingham

Tim Wallace - Panthers Head Coach MILTON KEYNES, 30 MAY 2019:  It has been announced that MK Lightning hero Tim Wallace has joined Nottingham Panthers as Head Coach for next season. Tim played a huge role for our club last year, leading from the front and bringing together a squad which often gave other teams a run for their money when they had no right to. Since then he has helped us enormously over the summer as we prepared for this season. Tim is an incredible guy on and off the ice and thinks very highly of Milton Keynes Lightning and our supporters. We will miss him and we wish him all the best for his new role. Panthers, you are lucky to have him.

MKL Welcome Caly Robertson

Calum Robertson signs for 2019/20 MILTON KEYNES, 29 MAY 2019: Another exciting young player has committed to MK Lightning for the upcoming season. Calum Robertson – Caly - has signed, joining us from his hometown club of Fife, where he scored 24 goals and 41 points in 18 SNL and under 20 games last year and he has international experience having helped to guide the national side to a gold medal at the 2018 World Junior Championships (U18 pision 2A). Jaimo Returns

Leigh Jamieson returns to MK Lightning MILTON KEYNES, 27 MAY 2019: Welcome back to Leigh Jamieson – Jaimo - who is returning to his hometown club after spending the last two years at Peterborough and Streatham where he scored 20 goals and 94 points in 80 NIHL games. During his previous two MK Lightning spells he amassed over 450 appearances earning league, cup and playoff honours while playing under Nick Poole and Pete Russell. Jaimo said “I’m really happy to be returning to my home town club and looking forward to the season and challenging for silverware. When the opportunity came to play in MK again I knew it was the right choice for me” His fantastic career has also seen inpidual honours including Young British Player of the Year, All Star Team selections and World Championship medals. NEW MKL Signing: Brodie Jesson

Young forward signs for 2019/20 season MILTON KEYNES, 25 MAY 2019: A brand new face for MK Hockey fans, Brodie Jesson has become the latest talented addition to Head Coach Lewis Clifford’s growing NIHL squad. He will wear shirt number 78. 18 year old forward Brodie comes to us having spent his entire club career in Telford where he iced for the Tigers scoring 18 goals and 36 points over the last two seasons, alongside a spectacular 35 goals and 77 points in just 17 games (an average of 4.5 points per game) for the under 18s in the same period. Rio signs for MK Lightning

Young forward signs for 2019/20 season MILTON KEYNES, 22 MAY 2019: No stranger to MK hockey fans, talented youngster Rio Grinell-Parke has signed for the new MK Lightning side as they continue to secure Head Coach Lewis Clifford’s previous signings. At 20 years of age and playing for MK Thunder under Clifford, left-handed Rio scored 20 goals with 36 points over the last two seasons. Last season he also made two appearances for MK Lightning in the Elite League and didn’t look out of his depth in strong company with many amongst the Lightning faithful hoping to see more of him. Jordan Lawday confirmed for MK Lightning

Goaltender Jordan Lawday signs for MK Lightning 2019/20 Season MILTON KEYNES, 21 MAY 2019: Speaking at the MK Lightning Supporters Club AGM last night, Head Coach Lewis Clifford confirmed that Jordan Lawday has put pen to paper on his move to the revitalised MK Lightning team. Russell Cowley joins Revitalised MK Lightning

MILTON KEYNES, 19 MAY 2019: MK Lightning are delighted to announce that Russell Cowley has signed for the 2019/20 season. Previously signed under Head Coach Lewis Clifford and the former management team, Russ has now transferred to Milton Keynes Ice Hockey Club and will play for MK Lightning in the inaugural season of the NIHL National Pision. MK Lightning NIHL National Division 2019/20

OWN & LOAN We are thrilled to be working closely with the MK Lightning Supporters Club who are an integral part of the hockey family. As we prepare to announce players signing for the club, it seems the right time to remind supporters of the hugely popular "Own and Loan" Jersey scheme. The scheme is run by the Supporters Club as part of their fantastic fundraising efforts for the team. UPDATE: The League has decided that all teams will swap their home and away jerseys over at the midpoint of the season. This means that the "Home" (light colour) jersey will be worn for home games in the first half of the season and the "Away" (dark colour) jersey will be worn for the second half of the season. Lewis Clifford Confirmed as Head Coach

After recent management changes, Lewis Clifford has signed as MK Lightning’s Head Coach for 2019/20 MILTON KEYNES, 17 MAY 2019: Milton Keynes Ice Hockey Club (MKIHC) are delighted to confirm Lewis Clifford as MK Lightning Head Coach for the upcoming NIHL National pision season. MKL's recent change of ownership means that staff and players need to sign for the new organisation and Cliff is the first appointment since the change. Cliff brings a wealth of hockey experience to the team including several years as coach of MK Thunder. He is no stranger to MK Lightning as Assistant Coach for six seasons and also having helped them last season while they navigated some challenging times.
