Time for the next set of players taking to the ice with Ross Green for his Testimonial on the 4th May 24.

We’ll release details soon on what players jerseys will be available for Own and Loan, and which ones will be included in match night and online raffles, so watch this space.  You’ll need to see the jersey too…… there is so much happening behind the scenes!

LEWIS CHRISTIE

Our captain for the last two seasons, Lewy recently celebrated playing a massive 600 games in Lightning colours and was awarded a testimonial game at the end of last season.  From signing for MKL at just 20 years old, our Scottish skipper is now one of the senior figures in the club, setting an example for younger players coming through the ranks. Lewy currently holds the club all-time record for the highest number of regular-season appearances.

RIO GRINELL-PARK

Rio has pulled on an MKL jersey in five of the last six seasons – the lure of the Lightning pulling him back up the M1 from Raiders after a season there in 2021-22.  After missing games due to injury at the start of the season, Rio – who’s also represented GB at U18 level – is making his presence felt once again.

JAMES GRIFFIN

Griff has earned a reputation as an uncompromising and skillful D-man in nine seasons in our colours. Did you know: Griff designed not only our Zeus logo, the 20th anniversary logo and also the logos for Jaimo, Lewy and now Sloth’s testimonials!

CALLUM FIELD

Callum joined the Lightning in 2021 after having learned his skills largely within the Sheffield youth organisation – and a brief spell with the MK Storm around 9 years ago!  Standing at an imposing 6’ 5” his height gives our attack a very physical edge and we’re delighted to see him lining up to help celebrate Sloth’s testimonial.

TIM WALLACE

Alaska-born Tim has a hockey CV which speaks for itself, including 101 NHL appearances for Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes, Tim brought that experience to the UK in 2017  with Sheffield Steelers before joining MK Lightning the following year. After a spell as Head Coach with the EIHL Nottingham Panthers, he returned to MK as our Head Coach, Player and Director of Hockey Development – Super Tim Wallace!

HALLDEN BARNES-GARNER

MK local Halds grew up in the MK Storm junior system, then spent some time in Slough and Eastern Europe.

He then returned to MK to play for Thunder, before stepping up into Lightning for the 2019/20 season.  Halds had his most productive season in terms of points in 2021/22. This season he’s playing for the Chelmsford Chieftains and is their second-highest goal scoring Brit.  Welcome back to MK, Halds!

LEIGH JAMIESON

Jaimo’s is one of the shirt numbers that’s been retired and raised to the rafters above block 14, as an MK

legend, having made over 600 league appearances for Lightning. His career also includes Elite experience and international honours at World Championships and Olympic qualifier levels. He’s currently icing for Chelmsford in NIHL1 – and we know many fans will remember his testimonial here a couple of years ago.

RUSSELL COWLEY

One of the most experienced players in our league, Canadian-born Russ made 78 regular season appearances over 3 campaigns for Lightning and before that became a legend for Coventry Blaze after 15 seasons in their colours. He represented GB at U18, U20 and senior level with 1 bronze, 3 silver and 1 gold medal to his name. Welcome back to MK, Russ!

ADAM LAISHRAM

Ontario-born Adam signed for MKL in 2021 bringing a wealth of experience from the Canadian junior leagues, bringing “a whole lot of talent and a relentless work ethic”. Since leaving MKL he’s played in Raiders IHC colours – where this season he is the club’s top point scorer by quite some way!

LEWIS HOOK

‘Hooky’ learned his skills in the Peterborough junior system and was already a regular pick for Great Britain at U18 and U20 levels when he signed for Lightning in 2014. He spent four successful seasons here before crossing the water to Belfast Giants, moving to Guildford Flames for the current season, and has made 13 appearances for the GB men’s senior team.
