In a huge boost for AIB MK Lightning, Jordan Hedley is making his return to the club for the first time since 2017/18 after 4 seasons with Coventry Blaze in the Elite League.  Jordan will be fully committed to AIB MKL, and will only play for Blaze this season if they have injuries and need him to step in and start for them.

Jordan is an experienced netminder, having played alongside Elite level players for a number of years, and been in the GB senior World Championships squad this year in Finland.  He played twice for MKL last year picking up a 94.8 save percentage and will be looking to continue that shot stopping form this year.

25 year old Jordan grew up in the MK junior system, playing for MK Storm up to under 18s, then Thunder, and on into Lightning.  He made his GB debut at U18, and played U20s before joining the senior squad for last year’s championships.

AIB MKL’s Tim Wallace had this to say about our new goaltender: ”Jordan is a big, positionally sound goalie who should help our team tremendously. I have coached and played against him over the years and I remember him stealing a couple games against us. He is a determined kid who wants to play at the highest level. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do at this level.”

Jordan himself is delighted to be back in MK and is looking forward to seeing the MK faithful once more.  He said: “ I can’t wait to be back home and play in front of the best fans in the league, excited to get started and win some silverware!

Jordan will wear the number 1 jersey for which the Own and Loan is now available.  Please email
