Milton Keynes Lightning is thrilled to announce the signing of talented centre Corey McEwen for the upcoming 2023/24 ice hockey season. Corey joins the Lightning from the Peterborough Phantoms, where he showcased his impressive skills and abilities over the last five seasons.

Last year, Corey McEwen made a significant impact on the ice, amassing an impressive 48 points for the Phantoms throughout 42 games. His excellent scoring record comprised 18 goals and 30 assists, illustrating his prowess as a playmaking centre.

Head Coach Tim Wallace expressed his excitement about the newest addition to the team, stating, “Corey is a playmaking centre with great speed. He should fit in well with the style and structure we are trying to create in Milton Keynes. He has put up some great numbers over the years in this league, and I believe he has still not reached his full potential. I expect big things from him this year, and he will be relied upon heavily to help us win hockey games.”

Corey McEwen himself shared his enthusiasm about joining the Lightning squad, stating, “I’m really grateful for the opportunity to play for the Lightning next season. I’ve heard great things about the organisation and Tim as a coach, so I’m really looking forward to getting started. See you in September, Lightning fans!”
