Adam Laishram not returning to MK Lightning
Everyone at AIB Milton Keynes Lightning would like to wish Adam Laishram all the best as he moves on after being with us since the start of the 2021/22 season.   25 year old Adam brought fantastic experience from the OHL and USports leagues, and as a Memorial Cup winner. Known for his hard work, terrific skating, and his ability to get under the skin of opponents, he will be missed in the MKL lineup this year.  Adam is taking the next step in his personal development, having been accepted onto a prestigious full time course at King’ College [...]
Eddie Landsbergs and Morgan Clarke-Pizzo leave AIB MKL
Everyone at AIB Milton Keynes Lightning would like to wish Edgars Landsbergs and Morgan Clarke-Pizzo all the best as they move on from AIB MKL.   23 year old Eddie made 36 appearances and scored 2 goals and 5 assists. He worked hard and gave his best, and we are very grateful for all the efforts he put in over the course of the season.  22 year old Morgan joined us mid-season on a 2-way with Nottingham Panthers, and played 14 times scoring 3 points and worked hard to make an impact for us.  We’d like to thank [...]

We are so happy that he couldn’t stay away! Zaine McKenzie is back in an AIB MKL shirt
He started strongly for us last year and has a great attitude. Having appeared 24 times for AIB MKL last year, he went to the Bees for some more development and picked up 13 points in 20 games. Now he’s back, he’s raring to go, and we are chuffed that’s he’s once again in the AIB MKL locker room. Kenilworth born Zaine will turn 19 just before the season begins, and has spent time with the Solihull, Nottingham and Coventry junior programmes before heading out for a season in Canada and has made appearances at Midlands conference level. AIB MKL’s [...]
He’s exciting. He’s prolific. He’s Sam Talbot and he’s back!
He was one of AIB MKL’s most exciting players last season, so we are thrilled that Sam Talbot is back in the lineup for 2022/23. 21 year old Sam spent the majority of his junior career in the Swindon system, with a season in the Ontario U18 system in 2017/18. On his return from Canada he spent some time as part of MK Thunder, before moving onto Slough Jets where his prolific scoring talents really began to emerge. After 99 points in 44 league games for the jets, he spent time in the 2019/20 season in the NIHL National with [...]
He’s back between the pipes. Jordan Hedley returns to AIB MK Lightning for 2022/23
In a huge boost for AIB MK Lightning, Jordan Hedley is making his return to the club for the first time since 2017/18 after 4 seasons with Coventry Blaze in the Elite League. Jordan will be fully committed to AIB MKL, and will only play for Blaze this season if they have injuries and need him to step in and start for them. Jordan is an experienced netminder, having played alongside Elite level players for a number of years, and been in the GB senior World Championships squad this year in Finland. He played twice for MKL last year picking [...]
Consistency and stability as MKL hockey lifer Ross Green is back on the blue line
Please welcome back Ross Green to Milton Keynes Lightning! Ross is a massive MK ice hockey contributor, with a career which stretches back to MK Storm U16s in 2004. In the 2021/22 season Ross made 44 MKL appearances, and picked up 14 points. He’s known for his smooth skating, cool head, and leadership on and off the ice. He’s also a fantastic ambassador for hockey in the town, supporting junior development and running hockey camps for a number of years. MKL’s Tim Wallace gave us his views on Ross: “Ross Green is a MK guy who is great to have [...]
Brandon Stones leaves AIB MKL
Everyone at AIB Milton Keynes Lightning would like to wish Brandon Stones all the best as he moves on after being with us since the start of the 2019/20 season.   29 year old Nottingham born Brandon is one of the nicest, most genuine guys we have had around the club, and that’s why it’s difficult to say goodbye to him. He made 32 appearances in a Lightning jersey, and was well recognised for the role he plays as a fantastic team player. We are sad to see him go, but his ice time would have been very limited this [...]
