Zaine McKenzie, made 53 appearances this season, as well as turning out for GB U20s.  Zaine scored 4 goals and 9 assists, and we would like to thank him for his hard work and effort during the season and wish him the best for the future.

MK Lightning is pleased to announce the re-signing of Ed Knaggs for the upcoming 2023/24 season. This will mark Knaggs' third consecutive season with MKL. In the previous season, Knaggsy showcased his exceptional skills playing in 55 games for the Lightning, making a significant impact on both ends of the ice. He scored a record 6 goals and 33 assists, accumulating an impressive total of 39 points. Thank you Sam. Sam Talbot, a forward who played for Lightning in over 100 games over the past 2 seasons is moving on for the 23/24 season.  Sam has been a formidable force on the ice, with an impressive 39 goals and 45 assists this season, Sam's contributions made a great offensive impact, tallying an impressive 84 points.  Always an exciting player to watch, we wish Sam all the best for the future and thank him for everything he’s done in a Lightning jersey.

Toms heads south to bring his Lightning speed to MK Lightning

MK Lightning, is thrilled to announce the signing of Toms Rutkis for his first season with the club. The  forward joins Lightning after an impressive performance with the Dundee Stars in the Elite League last season. In the 2022/23 season, Toms Rutkis played 52 games for Dundee, tallying 3 goals and 4 assists, amounting to a total of 7 points.  Having started his junior career in Swindon, Toms Rutkis progressed to play for the Cardiff Devils before finding his place with the Dundee Stars. Thank you and goodbye: Sean Norris will not be returning to MK Lightning in the 23/24 season.

Sean Norris, played over 80 games in an MKL jersey.  Last season he played 45 games, and had a knack for creating scoring opportunities. With 27 goals and an impressive 49 assists, Sean's 76 points were important for the team.  Sean also made a great impact in the Elite league last year playing for the Belfast Giants and being selected for the GB squad.  We wish him every success in the next step in his hockey journey.

Great Scot! Christie is back on the MKL Blue Line

We are delighted to share with you the re-signing of Lewis Christie for his 13th season with the club. During last season, Lewy played 47 games, scoring 4 goals and providing 14 assists, achieving a total of 18 points. Rio Grinell-Parke brings his incredible speed, physicality and work ethic to MK Lightning for another year
