Bolstering our forward lines for the rest of the season, we are delighted that Jack Hopkins has put pen to paper with AIB MK Lightning.  Jack joins us on a two way arrangement with Nottingham Panthers where he has made 8 appearances so far this season.

18-year-old forward Jack learned his hockey in the Nottingham junior system with a brief spell in Germany followed by a move to Telford Tigers for their 2021-22 league winning season.  In Telford, he was a key player scoring 16 goals and 33 assists in 40 games making him Telford’s fourth highest points scorer of the year.

Jack has represented Great Britain at U18 and u20 levels.  At U18, he Captained the side and top scored at the World Championships and was third top scorer for the U20s in the same year.  He has been selected to represent GB U20s once more this year alongside MKL team mates Zaine McKenzie, Mack Stewart and reserve Milique Martelly.

AIB MKL’s Tim Wallace has this to say about Jack’s signing: “I first got to know Jack during my time in Nottingham and we had talked in the summer about him coming to play in MK.  I’m delighted that we’re now able to make that a reality.  Jack is a quality player who brings a high skill set while playing at a fast pace. He has a great knowledge of the game despite his young age. I see him adding depth to our forward lines as well helping us on the PowerPlay. It will be great to get to work with him again.”

Please welcome Jack Hopkins for 2022/23.  He will wear the number 23 shirt for which the Own and Loan which is available now.  Please contact dave@b2promodesign.com for details.
