CARERS / PERSONAL ASSISTANTS

All children aged 15 and under are required to have an adult supervising them at the rink. As such, no carer tickets will be issued to children, as they are all required to have an adult present. 

Concessions and Adults need to apply following the process below.

Single game tickets
Single game tickets for fans with disability:
  • The person with the disability purchases a full price ticket of the correct category (Adult or Concession), and a carer is admitted free of charge
  • (If the disabled person could access the service without a Carer, the club is not be obliged to admit a Carer free of charge)
  • Please call Planet Ice on 01908 540020 to purchase both the full price and the free Carer’s ticket at the same time (you can not do this online).
Season Tickets

Season Tickets for fans with disability:

  • The person with the disability purchases a full price ticket of the correct category (Adult or Concession), and a carer is admitted free of charge.
  • (If the disabled person could access the service without a Carer, the club is not be obliged to admit a Carer free of charge)
  • Season Tickets can only be purchased online.
  • Digital season tickets will be issued for the full price tickets purchased, and the Carer’s seat / place will be reserved for your carer.
  • Note: There is a waiting list for the accessible ramp, please contact MKL for details before requesting a Season Ticket.
  • On arrival at each home game, Carers will need to go to the Planet Ice ticket desk and be issued a free paper Carer’s ticket for entry.  Please note:
    • The full price ticket holder must also present for the paper Carer’s ticket to be issued
    • Carer’s are not allowed free access unless accompanied by their associated full price ticket holder
    • Paper tickets are only valid for one match
    • Carer’s spaces will not be released for general sale, and paper Carer’s tickets can be issued at any time up until the end of the first period
Proof of Disability

MK Lightning reserves the right to request Proof of Disability before issuing a Season Ticket for disabled supporters.

All applicants (including disabled season ticket holders and existing Season Ticket holders that will be renewing) must include Proof of Disability, valid within the last year from the date of application, with their completed application form.

Proof of Disability must include proof of one of the following:

  • An Access Card with the +1 symbol issued.
  • receipt of the middle or higher rate of the Disability Living Allowance (mobility or care component);
  • receipt of the standard or enhanced rate of daily living component of the Personal Independence Payment;
  • receipt of the enhanced rate of the mobility component of the Personal Independence Payment;
  • receipt of either the Severe Disablement Allowance, the Employment and Support Allowance or the Attendance Allowance; or
  • a personal letter from a hospital to confirm that the person is in receipt of support services.
  • a copy of a local authority blind and visually impaired person’s registration card or a CVI document.
  • a copy of an entitlement to War Pensioners Mobility Supplement letter.

Please note that receipt of an Orange/Blue Badge will not be considered sufficient proof of disability.
