We’d like to give our thanks to you all, and to the Supporters’ Club for the fantastic fundraising achievements during May with proceeds going to both the MK Hospital Charity COVID-19 appeal and MK Lightning.

During the month, there were sales of limited edition merchandise as well as online raffle activity, and we’re delighted that overall these activities raised a whopping £2047.82 to be split equally between the club and the charity.

Speaking about the receipt of the cheque for £1023.91 and MK Hosptial Charity spokesperson said: “On behalf of Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, I would like to say a huge thank you to the Milton Keynes Lightning Ice Hockey Club, and to all of their fans, for supporting the May we make a difference campaign and for making such a generous donation towards our charity. The donation will be used to benefit patients, their families, and the staff who treat them at Milton Keynes University Hospital. We are so pleased to have your support, especially during such trying times. From all of us here at MKUH – thank you.”

Lightning CEO Claire Eason-Bassett added her own thanks saying: “MK fans have once again shown their generosity and compassion by digging deep for the May…we make a difference fundraising campaign.  Not only will this help the MK Hospital Charity which is a brilliant cause very close to home, but the funds raised for the club will be put to great use in our preparations for the upcoming season.”

Thank you all for your amazing support!
