Milton Keynes Lightning is delighted to announce the signing of Ben Solder for the 2023/24 season. The stylish defenceman joins from Bristol Pitbulls where he spent the 2022/23 season, scoring 7 goals and 22 assists.

At just 22 years old, Solder brings a wealth of experience having played junior hockey in Chelmsford and at the Ontario Hockey Academy. He has also represented Great Britain at both under 18 and under 20 levels.

Milton Keynes Lightning coach Tim Wallace spoke highly of Solder, saying: “Ben has a high hockey IQ and will make the right play in key situations. He has great poise with the puck and has great passing ability. I have been targeting him since last summer, and I am happy to be able to work with him. Ben should help us possess the puck and create offence. He wants to improve and help us win. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do.”

Solder is equally excited to be joining the team, saying: “Really excited to get the season going and win some trophies. Also really grateful for the opportunity. Can’t wait till September to play in front of the Lightning fans.”

Please welcome Ben Solder.  Ben will wear the number 96 jersey, which is now available to Own and Loan.  Please email dave@b2promodesign.com for more information.
