With only days left until Lightning legend Leigh Jamieson celebrates his testimonial, it’s time to reveal the format that his big night will take! (Saturday 20 August, 6pm at Planet Ice).
Jaimo has personally picked the 37 past and present Lightning players who will join him on the ice next Saturday with names to excite MKL fans old and new! From Nick Poole and Gary Clarke, to Liam Stewart and Tim Wallace, and from Przemy Ordrobny and Andre Smulter to Bobby Chamberlain and Lewis Christie, this is one game you do NOT want to miss!
Doors open at 5pm on the day, giving fans plenty of time to enjoy a drink or snack before the action and pick a vantage point. The players take to the ice at 5.30pm for the all-important warm-up period.
Limited edition LJ19 merchandise will be available inside the Arena and you can also pick up raffle tickets to win a rare pink jersey worn in warm up by Jaimo himself, with proceeds to Willen Hospice.
Raffle tickets will also be available to win fantastic prizes including a brand new TV, £200 voucher for John Lewis, a family ticket for the MKL game of the winner’s choice, something very special given by Sir Rod Stewart – and much more!
The action gets underway at 6pm sharp, and we can look forward to two full periods of hockey, with players spanning Lightning’s entire history showing what they can do!
Between the two periods, the players will be showing what they’re capable of in a no-holds-barred skills test – you know they’re a competitive bunch, so stand by for fireworks!
After the second period, make a bee-line for the bar upstairs, where you can wait for Jaimo and all your Lightning legends – grab a selfie or ask for an autograph – gatherings with this many star names don’t happen very often so don’t miss your chance!
