Milton Keynes Lightning are excited to announce the signing of Slovak forward Dominik Gabaj for the 2025/26 NIHL National season. The 32-year-old centerman brings a wealth of experience and a proven scoring touch, having consistently ranked among the league’s top offensive performers.

Gabaj joins MK Lightning after a standout 2024/25 campaign with the Berkshire Bees, where he tallied 33 goals and 50 assists for a total of 83 points in 53 games. 

Over four seasons with the Bees, Gabaj amassed impressive statistics, including a career-high 105 points (44 goals, 61 assists) in the 2023/24 season. His consistent performance underscores his offensive prowess and reliability on the ice.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new chapter, Gabaj stated:

“I’m excited to be joining Milton Keynes Lightning. I’m glad to get the opportunity to join the team and this passionate fanbase. I can’t wait to hit the ice and contribute to the team’s success next season.”

Head Coach Tim Wallace shared his thoughts on the acquisition:

“Dominik has been a proven offensive force in this league for some time now. He’s a true centerman—strong on faceoffs, smart in the defensive zone, and a threat every time he has the puck. With a great shot and high hockey IQ, Dominik should have an immediate impact on our team. We’re excited to see what he can bring in a Lightning jersey.”

Gabaj’s addition is expected to bolster MK Lightning’s offensive depth and bring veteran leadership to the locker room. Fans can look forward to his dynamic playmaking and scoring
