Our schools programme is a great opportunity for your school to learn about ice hockey, gain tips for a healthy lifestyle and secure discounted access for your school group to an MK Lightning home fixture. We met over 2200 pupils in schools last year, with over 500 coming to watch a game afterwards.
Here’s the details of the schools programme:
- Visit to your school by Head Coach Tim Wallace and an MKL player (where available)
- 20-30 minute interactive assembly including: an introduction to Ice Hockey, trying on equipment, how to learn to play
- Tips for healthy living from a professional athlete
- Discounted admission tickets for your school to a designated MK Lightning fixture with seats grouped for the school together – please have match date picked for your families to attend, and be prepared for a little admin from the school telling families about the match when booking the assembly and the match.
Note: School needs be within 15 minutes drive of Planet Ice. Assemblies are available Tuesdays from 9.30am and Thursday mornings from 9.45am during term time between October and April.
