Milton Keynes Lightning are thrilled to announce the signing of forward Elliot Lewis for the 2025/26 NIHL National season. The 23-year-old Hedge End native joins MKL after a standout season with the Bristol Pitbulls, bringing size, strength, and scoring touch to the Lightning lineup.
Lewis, a 6’1″ power forward, tallied 12goals and 6 assists over 52 games during his tenure with the Bristol last season, showcasing his ability to contribute offensively while playing a physical, hard-nosed game.
Speaking about his move to Milton Keynes, Lewis expressed his enthusiasm:
“When speaking to Tim about the opportunity to become a Lightning player, I simply couldn’t turn it down. The amount of positive things I’ve heard from past and present Lightning players is frightening! From the fans to the coaching and the overall professionalism of the club, I really feel this is the best place for me to take the next step in my career.
The opportunity to work with Tim on my game is a really exciting prospect, alongside playing in front of an incredibly loyal and passionate fan base. Every time I’ve played at MK, it’s a very intimidating atmosphere as the visiting team! I’ve always enjoyed playing in MK, and I’m so excited to get going as a Lightning player on the right side of the rink! I’m looking forward to meeting you all in September to pick up where the team left off last year and hunt down more silverware!”
Head Coach Tim Wallace shared his thoughts on the new addition:
“Elliot is a smooth-skating winger power forward. He can create offensively and also use his strength and size to play physical and win battles. He shows a lot of potential, and we’re excited to help develop his skills further. We believe Elliot has what it takes to reach the next level, and we’re looking forward to seeing his growth this season.”
With Lewis’s addition, MK Lightning continue to build a roster poised for success, blending experienced leadership with emerging talent. Fans can look forward to an electrifying season as the team aims to build on last year’s achievements and pursue further glory.
