The first signing released for the 24/25 season, Milton Keynes Lightning is thrilled to announce the re-signing of standout goalkeeper Jordan Hedley for 2 years! With his exceptional skills and proven track record, Hedley is set to continue his remarkable journey with the team, bringing both experience and a winning mentality back to the rink.

Born in Walsall, UK, and a product of the Milton Keynes youth system, Hedley’s career has been closely tied to British ice hockey. Standing at 191 cm, his presence in the goal is formidable. Over the previous season, Hedley showcased his superb goalkeeping skills with a save percentage of 0.923 in the regular season.

“Really excited to be back for 2 seasons – it’s an easy decision to play in front of the best fans in the UK! After winning the cup for your hometown team, there was no better feeling, and I want to win more next year,” said Hedley, reflecting on his commitment to the team and the community.

Head Coach Tim Wallace expressed his enthusiasm about Hedley’s return, highlighting his resilience and competitive nature. “I am thrilled to see Jordan back in a Lightning jersey next year. I know he will put in the work this summer and continue to improve. Heds was playing some great hockey before his injury. He battled through that adversity mentally and physically and came back playing great right away. Heds has the ability to win us hockey games, and I enjoy being around his competitive nature. There’s still potential with Heds and that is what I am most excited about,” stated Wallace.

Hedley’s re-signing is a significant part of Milton Keynes Lightning’s strategy to build a robust team capable of competing at the highest levels. His experience, coupled with a career highlighted by consistent performance and dedication, makes him a cornerstone of the team’s defensive lineup.
