PUCKY returns for MK Lightning

MILTON KEYNES, 2 June 2019: A lynchpin and legend of Lightning hockey, after much negotiation (he was hibernating), we are ecstatic to confirm that Pucky has signed with MK Lightning for the 2019/20 season.

A veteran of a number of MKL seasons, quietly spoken Pucky is the face – the giant white smiling face – of MKL hockey on match nights and in the community.

Speaking about the appointment, MK Lightning Director of Match Night Jon Payne said “This is one of the big ones. Literally, he’s quite big. He will be a visible presence of fun and enjoyment in the arena and around MK and we are lucky to have him back.”

“We know that he is a well-known celebrity around MK and across the country, and that his attendance at community events, schools and wine tastings is much loved.”

When asked about Pucky’s off season plans, Payne confirmed “I know that over the summer he’s continuing to develop his upcoming series of books which introduce children to some unknown Greek myths, including his current work where Zeus (the God of Lightning) is a sworn protector of polar bears.”

We approached Pucky for comment, and he said “….”. He then did a small dance, and offered a choice of high five or fist bump which we were happy to co-operate with.

Giving some further detail, Pucky’s agent – the Supporter’s Club – said “this is a firm, unshakeable commitment from MK Lightning to work with Pucky who is a hero and a stalwart, and we are delighted that it’s business as usual for everyone’s favourite polar bear.”

Please give a warm welcome back to Pucky.
