Thomson accounted for half of MKL’s eight goals. Sean Norris scored twice and supplied two assists, while Danny Weight had a goal and three assists. Liam Stewart scored Lightning’s other goal. Harry Gulliver, Carter Hamill, Ed Knaggs, Jarred White and Bradey Johnson each registered an assist.

Both Leeds goals came from Liam Peyton. Owen Sobchak assisted twice for the Knights, with Balint Pakozdi also providing an assist.

The sides had met in Milton Keynes in September, when Lightning won 2-1 in overtime. This meeting ended with a six-goal margin. A good away win for MKL, with Thomson’s four goals and the contributions from Norris and Weight helping secure the two points.
