Milton Keynes Lightning, is thrilled to announce the signing of forward Caly Robertson for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
Last season, playing for the Bristol Pitbulls, Robertson showcased his talent on the ice. With an outstanding record of 32 goals and 28 assists, he accumulated a total of 60 points across 60 games.
Robertson previously donned the Milton Keynes Lightning jersey during the 2019/20 season. In his 17 games with the team, he demonstrated his proficiency by scoring three goals and providing two assists. His return to the organisation is eagerly anticipated, as his skills have evolved and matured since he was last here.
Commenting on the signing, Milton Keynes Lightning coach Tim Wallace expressed his enthusiasm for having Robertson on the team. He stated, “Caly is a highly skilled player that can make plays at full speed. Caly skates well and is dangerous if he’s given time and space. He had a great season last year, and if he puts in the work, he will be a dynamic player for us.”
Caly Robertson himself expressed his excitement about returning to Milton Keynes and playing in front of the passionate barmy army once again. He shared his thoughts, saying, “I’m extremely happy to be coming back to Milton Keynes and playing in front of the amazing barmy army again! I’m excited to be able to help the team take some trophies back to MK as the fans definitely deserve that.”
Reflecting on his past experience with the club, Robertson added, “From past experience, I have loved being in MK and am grateful for the opportunity Tim and Joe have given me to come back. I think they are the perfect guys for the job that not only will develop my game but more importantly bring success to this great club! I have no doubt we will have a quality team this year and can’t wait to get started, see you in September!”
