Hazeldine also had an assist, giving him a goal and an assist on the night. Kell Beattie, David Thomson and Bradey Johnson each contributed two assists.

Solway’s scoring was led by Buesa’s three goals, with Dylan Murray adding their fourth. Alex Johnston and Owen Cole each supplied two assists. Between them, the two sides scored nine goals, but the final margin was a single goal in Lightning’s favour.

The result followed Lightning’s win at Leeds the previous day. Thomson, who scored four in that game, contributed two assists against Solway; Weight followed his goal and three assists at Leeds with two goals here. In front of 2,077 at Planet Ice Milton Keynes, it was another two NIHL National points for MKL and a good home win against Solway.
