We’re delighted to announce that MK Lightning’s very own #1, Jordan Hedley, will be honoured with a testimonial as we celebrate 10 years of his contribution to the club.

Jordan’s connection with Milton Keynes runs deep. A product of the Milton Keynes Storm junior system, Jordan has been part of the local hockey community since he was a young boy, progressing through the junior ranks before making his way into senior hockey.

His career has taken him through the MK Storm, MK Thunder and MK Lightning, as well as spells with Coventry Blaze in the Elite League and representing Great Britain at U18, U20 and senior level.

But it is with MK Lightning where Jordan has truly made his mark.

Across his years with the club, he has become a familiar and trusted presence between the pipes, sharing some of the biggest moments in the team’s recent history and building a special relationship with the supporters.

Now, after a decade of being part of the Lightning family, it is time for us to celebrate Heds.

Speaking about the announcement, Jordan said:

“I’m extremely excited and honoured to be given the opportunity to have a testimonial for the team I grew up watching from the age of six.

To have gone from watching MK Lightning as a young kid, dreaming of one day playing for the team, to now having the opportunity to celebrate 10 years with the club is a true honour. There have been so many great memories, incredible teammates, coaches, staff and, of course, the amazing supporters who have been there throughout my journey.

This club means a huge amount to me and my family, and I’m incredibly proud to have represented MK Lightning over the years. To be given a testimonial is something I never thought I would experience, and it makes it even more special knowing it is with the team I grew up watching.

I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone and see you all at the game. It’s going to be a really special night, and I hope we can make some more memories together.”

From watching the team from the age of six, to pulling on the Lightning jersey himself, Jordan’s journey is a story that is intrinsically linked with hockey in Milton Keynes.

Now it’s time to celebrate one of our own.
