Milton Keynes Lightning are delighted to announce the return of forward Cameron Hamill for the 2026/27 NIHL season.
Cam returns to MK after spending the past two seasons continuing his development with valuable ice time with Bristol Pitbulls in the NIHL. During his time away, the young forward gained important experience and continued to grow his all-around game, establishing himself as a hardworking and energetic presence on the ice. Cam scored 8 goals with 13 assists over 38 games last season.
The returning forward is excited to be back in Milton Keynes ahead of the new campaign.
“Hi Lightning fans, I’m excited to be back for my third year in a Lightning shirt, after the last two seasons away gaining valuable ice time. I’m coming back a much better player. I’m looking forward to playing in front of the biggest crowd in the league again and hopefully lift some silverware.”
Head Coach Pete Russell welcomed Hamill back to the club and believes the forward will add plenty to the Lightning lineup this season.
“I’m pleased to have Cam back on the team this season. He’s a tenacious player for his size, with good game sense. After a couple of good seasons away, we’re pleased to bring him back as he brings a lot of good energy on and off the ice.”
Hamill’s return adds further depth, speed and determination to the Lightning roster as the club continues preparations for the 2026/27 campaign. Fans will already be familiar with his work ethic and commitment every time he steps onto the ice, and the club is excited to see how his development over the last two seasons translates back into a Lightning jersey.

Cam will wear a jersey number tbc for the 2026/27 season. Supporters will have the opportunity to Own and Loan his jersey from 7pm on Friday when the news is announced publicly by contacting dave@b2promodesign.com, stating the jersey type – Light, Dark, Warm-Up or any.
