The Milton Keynes Lightning are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian forward Bradey Johnson for the 2026/27 season.

The 26-year-old centre will arrive in Milton Keynes following a strong season in Sweden with Tranås AIF in HockeyEttan, where he recorded 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists) in 30 games. Prior to his move to Europe, Johnson spent five seasons with Saint Mary’s University in USports hockey, posting 85 points in 122 career games.

Standing at 6’1” and weighing 194 lbs, the Ontario native brings a blend of skill, grit, and two-way reliability to the Lightning lineup. Johnson developed through the Canadian major junior ranks before continuing his career at university level and then gaining valuable professional experience overseas.

Speaking about his move to Milton Keynes, Johnson said:

“I’m very excited to be joining the Milton Keynes Lightning. This is a great opportunity for me, and I’m looking forward to getting things started. I’m ready to work hard, compete, and do everything I can to help the team succeed this season.”

Lightning Head Coach Pete Russell is pleased to add Johnson to the roster ahead of the new campaign.

“I’m pleased to have Bradey Johnson join the team. Brady has a strong background in major junior and was in Sweden last year, and he checks every box for us. A quality skater with a 200-foot game, grit, a good shot, good hands, and the kind of character that makes your dressing room better. I’m looking forward to working with Bradey next season.”

Johnson’s arrival continues the club’s preparations for the 2026/27 season, with the Lightning adding another versatile forward capable of contributing in all areas of the game. His experience across North America and Europe is expected to provide both depth and leadership within the lineup.

The Milton Keynes Lightning would like to welcome Bradey to the club and the city and look forward to seeing him on the ice at Planet Ice Milton Keynes this season.

Bradey will  wear the number 90 jersey for the 2026/27 season. Supporters will have the opportunity to Own and Loan his jersey from 7pm today when the news is announced publicly by contacting dave@b2promodesign.com, stating the jersey type – Light, Dark, Warm-Up or any.
