The AIB Group Community Foundation, powered by MK Lightning, was created to reach those who need support the most — especially in underserved areas — with a focus on wellbeing, youth development, and community connection.
Through sport, teamwork, and shared experiences, the Foundation’s mission is to engage young people in a positive and inspiring environment, particularly those involved in initiatives aimed at keeping kids off the streets, tackling knife and gun crime, and supporting young people and veterans across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
We’re now looking to partner with local authorities, schools, and community groups who fit this criteria and would benefit from the opportunity to attend an MK Lightning ice hockey game here in Milton Keynes.

“When we started this sponsorship a few years ago, we were unsure just how many people we’d be able to help within the community. As this has grown, we’ve been able to support many charities helping youth, vulnerable adults, and veterans — and we want to push this even further.
Working alongside MK Lightning, we’re asking our supporters to come forward with charities or groups they feel could benefit from our support, so together we can continue to grow our community within Milton Keynes.”
Last season, we had groups from 5 on it Foundation , YMCA, and the MK Young Carers attend games with the support of the AIB Community Foundation.
