Milton Keynes Lightning are delighted to announce the signing of forward Austin Osborn for the 2025/26 season. The 20-year-old forward arrives back in the UK after developing his game in North America for the past 3 seasons USPHL Premier.

Osborn, who stands at 6’1” and weighs 183 lbs, hails from Haywards Heath and began his hockey journey in Scotland with Inverness before continuing his development with the Guildford Flames Juniors.

Head Coach Tim Wallace is excited to add Osborn to his roster, stating:
“Austin is a big, strong player who skates well and does a great job protecting the puck. He brings physicality and has the skill to make plays. I’m really excited to have him on board and to see where his game can go.”

Osborn is equally enthusiastic about the move, saying:
““I’m really excited to be joining Milton Keynes. It’s a great organization with a strong fan base, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about the atmosphere on and off the ice. I’m looking forward to getting started, meeting the guys, and doing everything I can to help the team push for a big year.”

Having developed his game in the highly competitive US junior system, Osborn is now looking to make an immediate impact in the NIHL National Division. His signing strengthens Milton Keynes’ offensive depth and supports the club’s goal of building a balanced, physical, and creative line-up capable of contending across all areas of the ice.

The club looks forward to welcoming Austin to Milton Keynes and seeing him in action when pre-season training begins. His arrival marks another important step in assembling a competitive squad ready to challenge for silverware in 2025/26.

Austin will wear the number 17  jersey, which is available from to Own and Loan from when the news is released.
