Milton Keynes Lightning is delighted to confirm that Archie Salisbury will continue with the club for year two of his two year contact signed in 24/25.
Eighteen-year-old Archie Salisbury joined Milton Keynes Lightning for the 2023/24 season, making the move from the Peterborough Phantoms. In his first fullĀ season with MKL, Archie recorded 1 goal and 3 assists, totalling 4 points, along with 65 penalty minutes ā showcasing both his physical presence and growing confidence on the ice.
Archie also earned international recognition, representing Great Britain at the U20 level during the season.
Speaking about his return, Archie said:
“I was really happy when Tim asked me to commit to the club for a longer period, I have had great time playing at MK and have learnt a lot from the coaching team and senior players.Ā I canāt wait for the season to get underway and I look forward to playing in front of the best fans in the league again”
Head Coach Tim Wallace shared his enthusiasm for Archieās return:
“Archie has it. If he keeps developing and playing the way he has been, I have no doubt heāll be in a higher league in no time. Heās fearless, has a tremendous work ethic, and always does exactly whatās asked of him. I really enjoy working with Archie and look forward to helping him continue his developmentāwhile he helps us win hockey games.”
Archie will continue to wear his number 4 jersey for the 2025/26 season. Supporters will have the opportunity to Own and Loan his jersey from 7pm on Monday by contacting dave@b2promodesign.com, stating the jersey type ā Light, Dark, or Warm-Up.
