MORE PLAYERS CONFIRMED FOR LJ19 TESTIMONIAL
If it’s Tuesday then it must be time for more testimonial news – time for another exclusive reveal of more players who’ll be joining LEIGH JAMIESON to celebrate his testimonial on Saturday 20th August, in association with All In Black Group.

JORDAN COWNIE

Jordan started his career in his native Dundee before moving to the Peterborough Phantoms and just 17 – but he played just the one season there before, alongside Lewis Hook, he signed for MK Lightning. His speedy and uncompromising style made him an immediate hit with the fans, and his talent meant it wasn’t long before the Elite League came calling – now, after three seasons with  his hometown Dundee Stars and one in Guildford, announced recently that he’s returning north to join the Glasgow Clan.

TOM CARLON

Another player with an uncompromising style of play, Telford-born Tom’s career spans two decades – and shows no sign of slowing up with his recently announced re-signing for a fourth season at MK Thunder!  Another player who laced up to make a brief but popular return to Lightning last season, Tom is monitoring the development of one of the next generation of hockey players, as his son Louie learns the game!

MICHAEL FARN

D-man ‘Farny’ was a real fans’ favourite during eight seasons in MK – part of the team that won the League title in his first term with us, and the Cup & Playoff double in his last season with us!  After MK he played four seasons with NIHL1 Streatham IHC as Alternate Captain, Captain and most recently Player-Coach before announcing he was hanging up his skates for good.  We were delighted to welcome him back for two games last season and we know you’ll give him a huge welcome back on 20th August.

LEWIS CHRISTIE
‘Lewy’ is one of MKL’s longest-serving players – he’s played all but three seasons of his senior career with the Lightning.  The Edinburgh-born D-man signed for us in 2008 from the Belfast Giants, and over the following 11 seasons iced in our colours in over 500 competitive fixtures, a regular member of the defensive unit that helped us to the League title in the 09-10 season, and the League Cup and Playoff title in spring 2017.  It’s a brave opposition player who thinks he can evade a Lewis Christie mid-ice hip check!
From here on in there is no more own & loan, these players will either be raffled or auctioned, keep an eye on LJ19 Testimonial pages for more details:
