MILTON KEYNES, 01 August 2019: Milton Keynes Ice Hockey Club is pleased to announce that Woodfines Solicitors have become a partner for MKL and will be both supporting the team and helping connect local MK businesses by becoming the official sponsor of the MKL Business Club.

Woodfines is a firm of solicitors based in Bedford, Cambridge, and Milton Keynes and provides legal services for both commercial businesses and individuals. They are active members of both the business and broader community, and have a reputation for delivering great service for their clients across the board.

They will become the official sponsor of the MKL Business Club which is a regular and successful networking event which has been established for a number of years, allowing local business people to meet like-minded professionals, discuss business and of course, the Milton Keynes Lightning Ice Hockey Team.

Guest speakers from local businesses are invited to speak at each meeting, as well as appearances from the MKL coaching and management team who will share their experience of building high performance organisations on and off the ice. The Club is free to attend and open to any local business representatives.

Speaking about the partnership, Milton Keynes Ice Hockey Club CEO Claire Eason-Bassett said “We see huge benefits in using the power of sport to connect people and businesses across MK and the region to help share experiences and create new opportunities for collaboration. Woodfines are the perfect partner for this as they bring local presence and a superb reputation for the quality and value of their work. We’re delighted to be partnering with them to grow our hockey family into a broader business and community family.”

Nicola O’Loughlin, Senior Marketing Manager at Woodfines Solicitors is similarly pleased: “We are delighted to become the official sponsor of the MKL Business Club this season, and look forward to the opportunity to meet with a range of business attendees at the monthly networking, whilst also supporting the Milton Keynes Ice Hockey Club.”

If you’d like to meet Woodfines and learn more about their services why not come along to the business club which is held at Planet Ice on the first Wednesday of each month, or alternatively head over to their website at
