Joonas Huovinen to leave Lightning
The Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning announce today that Joonas Huovinen is to leave the club for personal reasons.
Joonas, 24, will return to his native Finland later this week.
The management of MK Lightning would like to thank Joonas for his time with the club, and place on record that they respect the player’s decision to leave. Owner Graham Moody said, “Joonas goes with our best wishes for success in the future, wherever that lies.”
Both Lightning and the Supporters’ Club would like to thank the player’s sponsors:
- Home Jersey: John and Lisa
- Away Jersey: The Dillow Family
- Warm Up Jersey: The Siggers Family
- Corporate sponsor: City Apartments MK
The current highest bidder for the Challenge Cup jersey will receive that item shortly, and we will be in touch with the supporter who asked to Own and Loan Joonas’s Remembrance jersey.
Head Coach Doug McKay is undertaking research into available forwards to strengthen the team.
