David Lloyd Milton Keynes continue their long-term association with MK Lightning MILTON KEYNES, 31 July 2019: Milton Keynes Ice Hockey Club are delighted to announce that long-term partner David Lloyd Clubs will be continuing their support of MK Lightning for the 2019/20 season. David Lloyd Milton Keynes are once again opening their doors to Milton Keynes Lightning players, providing them with access to the gym and facilities to support their fitness and strength training - a number of the players are already becoming familiar faces around the club as they train during the off-season. Exciting Tanaka joins MKL Forwards

Speedy Canadian-born forward Cale Tanaka adds to MKL offensive threat MILTON KEYNES, 20 July 2019: In a strong addition to the Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning roster, experienced forward Cale Tanaka has made the move south to MK after a season with Solway Sharks where he was second top scorer with 56 points in 34 games. Prior to that, Cale spent 6 seasons in the EIHL with four teams scoring 57 goals and 155 points. 33 year old Cale was born in Stouffville, Canada and his mother is Scottish. He holds a UK passport and has played here for more than two seasons so he is classified as an UK player for our team. Steeldogs Pre-Season Challenge

Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning will play a warm-up double-header against Sheffield Steeldogs MILTON KEYNES, 18 July 2019: The start of the 2019/20 league season might still be several weeks away but today we can give some dates for your diary, your first opportunity to see the new team. Over the weekend of September 7th & 8th, the Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning will play the Bradfield Brewery Sheffield Steeldogs as both sides take to the ice for the first time. Saturday 7th will see Milton Keynes hosting, with the action moving to iceSheffield on Sunday 8th. There is long and eventful history of matches between the two teams but this will be the first meeting since the final EPL season, when MKL won the playoff title prior to joining the Elite League. Smith Construction Group Extend Involvement with MKL

MK Lightning thrilled to confirm Smith are supporting the team for a fifth year MILTON KEYNES, 6 July 2019: Milton Keynes Ice Hockey Club are delighted to announce that Smith Construction Group will be continuing their long-standing involvement with Milton Keynes ice hockey as title sponsors of Milton Keynes Lightning. The 2019/20 season is Smith’s fifth year of involvement with Milton Keynes Lightning. Their association goes beyond the team on the ice however – they were heavily involved in the regeneration of the Morrisons and Planet Ice area, involved in both infrastructure and buildings works. While this work was underway, Milton Keynes Lightning played out of Coventry. The team’s return to the newly refurbished Milton Keynes arena heralded the start of Smiths’ involvement with the team. Since then, their sponsorship has helped support considerable MKL league and cup success as well as two years in the Elite League.
